The days that make the whiskey.
Optional days at the Flying Tumbler bond at Larch Grove, across the life of your club's cask — open to club members only, and booked and paid for on their own, outside your €20 a month. Not a tour you watch from behind a rope: a working day in a working bond, with the room's hands in the whiskey.
We own the bond. That is the whole trick.
Larch Grove — our bond in Co. Carlow, in Ireland's south-east — is ours: we own it, we operate it, and every cask in it sleeps under our roof. So there is no third party to ask, no visitor centre to route you through, no rope. For one day the filling store, the gauging table, the valinch and the bottling line are yours.
One cask, chapter by chapter.
Group size
Six to sixteen on the floor. Bigger rooms split across the day in shifts.
The day
Roughly 09:30 to late afternoon, closing at a long table nearby.
On the day
Hosting, all liquid, aprons and kit, lunch and the table, and transfers locally.
How it's arranged
Members only, and priced on its own — a bond day is never part of your €20 a month. Send the note below and we come back with dates, the shape of the day and what it costs.
Tell us who's coming and when.
Bond days are open to club members, tied to your club's cask. Tell us roughly who's coming, from which local and when, and we'll come back with the shape of the day and what it costs.
There is no booking form here on purpose. A bond day is arranged by email, with a person.
