Flying Tumbler Tumbler Club
The cask

One cask.
Fifty members.
Five years in the wood.

Every club cask is a real barrel, filled at the Flying Tumbler bond at Larch Grove and paid for by the fifty members around it. Every euro you pay earns you a credit in it. Five years later the cask is bottled, divided on those credits — and the bottles come home to the rooms that filled it.

How it works

From your first night to your first bottle.

No shares, no certificates and nothing to manage. You go to your nights; the cask gets on with it in the bond.

01 Fifty sign up

Members join through their local — a pub, a members' club or a bottle shop. When the fiftieth is in, the cask is full.

02 The cask goes down

A 200-litre first-fill ex-bourbon barrel is filled at Larch Grove, and everyone in it starts on the same day.

03 Every euro, one credit

Your €20 a month earns you credits in the cask — twenty a month, counting in your app. Stop paying and you stop earning; what you've earned stays yours.

04 The bottles come home

At five years the cask is bottled and divided on credits. Duty and bottling are carried by the membership — there's nothing to pay at the end.

01 · The cask builder

Build the cask. See what it could become.

3 spirits · 58 woods · 3 strengths — and one cask at the end of it.

Pick the liquid, the finishing wood and the strength, and watch the label and the flavour move with you. In your club's cask the spirit is set at the Lay-Down and the room votes on the finish and the strength — this is how you get to know what you're voting on. Everything here is indicative.

Month 0The Lay-Down

New spirit into a first-fill bourbon barrel, reduced to filling strength and racked at Larch Grove under bond.

Year 3The Reckoning

A progression sample drawn and tasted, and the room calls the finish from the wood library.

Year 3–4The Marriage

Out of the cask it grew up in and married into the finish the room chose. Then the room settles the strength and when to bottle.

Year 5The Harvest

Cut to bottling strength, the label the room voted for, bottled — and the bottles come home, divided on credits.

And the honest bit

Straight answers.

Credits aren't money.

They can't be cashed or spent. They're what the cask is divided on when it's bottled, and that's all they're for.

No bottle count promised.

Whiskey loses some to the angels every year, and nobody knows the outturn until the cask is opened. We won't guess it for you.

Nothing to pay at the end.

Duty and bottling are carried by the membership. No call for more money, ever.

Leave whenever you like.

Cancel any time. You stop earning credits, and you keep every credit you've already earned.
